Take Me Home

So yesterday I was telling the kids about our Spanish website and how they can use it to practice what they learn in class. “In these presentations I’ll talk to you, quiz you, and explain things to you. You especially get to practice your pronunciation, which you can’t do with just a piece of paper. It’s available to you 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Basically, you get to take me home with you.”

And when a 2nd grade boy reiterated, “I can take you home with me?” that’s exactly the moment I realized… I need to be more careful how I phrase things. You think I would have learned my lesson by now. SMH.
