Ken Robinson’s “How to Escape Education’s Death Valley”

20 minutes, but worth it!

I can’t get enough of this nerdy teaching stuff.

Some thoughts:

1. “Culture of compliance”

2. Teaching is creating. It should not be a “prescribed algorithm.”

3. Culture of standardization.

4. Education is NOT an industrial/mechanical system. It is a human system.

5. “Alternative education systems” should maybe be the dominant one.

6. “Death valley isn’t dead. It’s dormant. Sitting at the surface are these seeds of possibility.”
