Smart-Alec Kid – 1, Me – 0

Telling 1st graders about expressing age in Spanish: “So saying ´Tengo 7 años’ is like saying ‘I have 7 years.’ It’s kind of neat in Spanish because it’s like you own the years of your life or have a collection of them, which only means that my collection is better than yours because I have 20 more years of life and experience and memories in my collection than you do.” Most of the kids were wide-eyed in awe of Spanish until one smart-Alec piped up “Yeah, but you’ll die first.”

You know, there really is no appropriate way to say F YOU to a kid.
